This small-scale touring company was formed to present two of Alfred de Musset’s virtually unknown one-act plays in translation, Caprice and It’s Impossible to Think of Everything, at the Rose Theatre in London, and then on a successful tour which included The Swan Theatre in Stratford-on-Avon and The Traverse, Edinburgh.
“Alfred de Musset’s two chamber dramas…perfect for this small venue, the soiree intime par excellence, and a joy to see…the acting in these pieces needs to be of the best, and the actors deliver.”
“It’s Impossible to Think of Everything …the dialogue floats like that fey butterfly Ronald Firbank and stings like the Oscar Wilde bee…vibrantly modern…it draws from Patrick Marley the best performance of the evening…a truly wonderful comic creation.”
“The comedy comes from a splendidly stylish performance from Patrick Marley as a fusspot uncle.”
“De Musset &Co give a fascinating and sparkling glimpse into the different aspects of this serio-comic playwright in these beautifully produced short comedies.”
